Top Chef - Are you crazy!

Did you watch Top Chef last night? Were you as shocked as I was that Antonia was cut?

For the life of me I can not understand how the Top Chef judges could have possibly sent home Antonia over that cow, Lisa.

Antonia is pleasant and has a great attitude unlike Lisa who is defensive with a foul mouth and a bad attitude. Antonia's food seemed much more consistent and more often than not the judges praised her. She won 4 quick fire challenges!

Lisa on the other hand has been in the bottom so many times I can't count and quite frankly Lisa's sucky attitude should have sent her home after episode 2.

What the hell Top Chef?

Did you hear what she said to Stephanie and Richard after Antonia was sent home? She actually berated them for not congratualting her for making it to the final 3 because she felt they really wanted Antonia to be there with the! Richard's response was funny - he was as shocked that she would have the nerve as I think the fans were.

She's rude. I hate rude people.

Inspiration - it came from my...

Last night I was stressing about pulling a blog post from some body part for my work blog and at the 11th hour (literally) I did. It came to me during the local 11 o'clock news. Imagine that - actually learning something or gaining anything from the local news. I never watch local news because it's depressing to learn about who died on the beltway today or who was murdered or the rising gas and food prices. I usually watch national news if we are not at lacrosse or swimming or some other activity. So anyway - back to my blog post - are you curious what I posted about? The title is "Inspiration - where does yours come from?" The post is about Jonathan Lester. An amazing story/guy, don't you think?

But that's all work and this is all play and...

Inspiration for that blog definitely does not come from the same place as this blog. For example, I watched 48 Hours last night and it was about Polygamy... not an appropriate blog post for work - right? But "interesting"... especially the modern face of polygamy and the women featured on this episode... twin sisters Vicki and Valerie, and another woman all "married" to the same man with 22 children - in one house. WTH!? eew... just eww.

I love the show Big Love - and I joke with Mr. about bringing on a "sister wife" to help around the house. His first thought was, "yeah, baby bring it on..." and then he realized that would be two wives bitching at him 24 hours a day 7 days a week. His own personal hell!

Do you know any polygamists? What about swingers - are swingers as gross or equally gross as polygamists? That new show Swingtown is coming to CBS June 5 and I don't think I can bring myself to watch it. The trailer scares me... it seems like such a dark world. Am I a prude?

And speaking of Big Love - when does it come back on? Now that Grey's is over and Lost is ending tomorrow I need something to look forward to!

Grey's last night?

Can you believe I feel asleep during the season finale of Grey's Anatomy? Out like a light - me... the person who has a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep 99.9% of the time... fell fast asleep and there was no waking me during one of my favorite shows! I am hoping I can catch it online... was it really good??

UPDATE...

I watched it! I love that they are going to get back together!! I also love McDreamy's eyes and when he smiled at the girl on the operating table I wanted to kiss my computer monitor. And I am seriously impressed that Meredith had time to buy all of those glass votives and light them all too and that's after performing 2 brain surgeries and saving one life! Sometimes I wish I was friends with all of them and lived in Meredith's house and all. Looks like fun doesn't it?

Now... I am going to take a nap.

Is it me - or is this just weird?

I saw this story on Faded Youth Blog tonight...

This is weird, right? The story is very romantic and he obviously loves his wife dearly but still weird, right? I wonder if they make maternity clothing for men? Will he have a baby shower? I'm guessing he won't be visited by the lactation specialist in the hospital. I didn't see the Oprah show but I wish I had. I'll bet it was interesting and after watching it I probably wouldn't be saying it was weird. But it is weird, right? Or is it me?
The 34-year-old father-to-be, who was born a girl and still has those reproductive organs which is how he is able to carry a baby. He began the process of transitioning to a male, taking testosterone, having his breasts surgically removed and changing all important documents from F for female to M for male. He married his longtime girlfriend Nancy (whom he met when he was still Tracy), but she couldn’t get pregnant after having had a hysterectomy due to endometriosis. Through insemination with donor sperm, he’s now pregnant with a daughter due in July.

I'm lov'in it!

I love TV. I love it almost as much as shopping and reading a good book. Tonight as I was watching American Idol I was thinking about a lot of things... like how incredibly short that Ramiele girl must be. She is tiny! And while I was watching her get voted off (poor thing) I realized there are just a few shows that I like to watch these days.

Here they are in no particular order:

1. LOST - OK this ONE is in order because it is my favorite of all time. I love this show and can't get enough. The suspense kills me each week but I live for it! I want to know, damn it. I want to know the answers to all of my questions. Like - is Jack as f'ed up as he seems now that he's off the island and does he really want to go back so bad that he can't get his life in order? Is Charlie alive or in some sort of in between ghost like stage? What happens to Claire? Where the hell is Walt? What does that little guy look like now? And Sawyer - what the hell man? Don't you love Kate enough to go with her off the island? And Kate... why do YOU want off so bad? What if they had sent you to jail and you didn't get off? Desmond do you and Penny get back together? I could go on and on and on. If you didn't watch Lost from the very beginning you can't go back. You'll never love it as much as we do.

2. Top Chef - Can I just say I want to be a judge. The foods they get to taste must be amazing. And to be able to cook like these chefs... I can't even imagine. They are amazing. I like Rich. He's my favorite so far. I also like Stephanie. I can't stand Spike and the creepy red head, Andrew. They both weird me out and seem like they would be terrible friends because they are so cocky. I hate cocky.

3. American Idol - I can't help it. I like this show. Who do I want to win? Michael Johns, David Cook or little David - who wasn't looking so little (as in young) tonight... in another 10 years he's going to be HOT. Michael Johns is married - did you know? major bummer there and a real damper on the fantasy I was having about him.

4. Real Housewives... oh lord. Are these women for real? Jill lets her little rat dog lick her nose - ew. just ew. I will say, this her daughter is beautiful but didn't I also see her on MTV's Sweet Sixteen? Bethany is on the verge of a breakdown. She is neurotic! Ramona - can't stand her. She thinks she's too hot (or hotter than snot as Mr. would say) and that makes her not. Alex and her husband are so attached at the hip it makes me want to puke. Need I say more? No, I don't but I will - eat a sandwich girl! You need to gain about 15 pounds! So why do I like this show so much when I despise all of the characters so much? I don't know. I can't explain it. I do like Luann and her housekeeper, Rosie.

5. House Hunters on HGTV - love this show! It is the one show that I DVR these days for me to enjoy when there is nothing else on. I like to guess which house the couple is going to pick and I love when they pick the same house that I pick. Speaking of HGTV - who watched the Dream House giveaway show and what was up with the winner? You would have thought she was just given a shack in the mountains and not a million dollar home in Florida. She looked miserable and her husband looked scared for her. Bad choice HGTV - you should have picked me! I would have jumped around like a complete fool making such a scene you would have had footage for years to come! You can make it up to me by letting me win the Green House giveaway - k?

Those are my 5 shows right now. That's it. Well... there are others that I like to watch like 60 Minutes, Sunday Morning, Dateline, Biography, Entertainment Tonight, Clean House, Dog Whisperer, etc. but if I miss these I don't much care. What about you? What am I missing? What have I forgotten and who the hell knows when Gery's is coming back on?
